What is a preschool cooperative?
A preschool cooperative is a school which is organized and directed by parents. Parents are also involved in the classroom as assistants to the teacher. Cooperative preschools also aim to provide a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and incorporates play.
What age does my child need to be?
In general, children must be 2 years old by August 1st preceding the school year to attend the 2/3's class.
We also offer a 3/4 year old class and a 4/5 year old class. In some cases exceptions may be made for children whose birthdays are in August.
When are classes scheduled?
2/3 year old classes: meets once a week, 9:30-11:30 Monday or Tuesday.
A second enrichment day is offered on Fridays beginning in January.
3/4 year old classes: meet twice per week, 9:30-11:30 Tuesday and Thursday.
There is an opportunity to register for an extended day on Thursdays until 1:30.
4/5 year old classes: meet three times per week, 9:30-11:45 Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
There is an opportunity to register for an extended day on Wednesdays until 1:30.

How much is tuition?
For the 2007-2008 School year:
2/3's Class (meets 1 time per week) $45 per month
Enrichment day adds $20 per month
3/4's Class (meets 2 times per week) $65 per month
Lunch bunch adds $40 per month
4/5's Class (meets 3 times per week) $85 per month
Lunch Bunch adds $40 per month
There is also a registration fee ($35) and a supply fee ($15 - $30) paid at the time of registration.
How many students are in a class and what are the student:teacher ratios?
In general, 2/3's classes have 6-10 students, 3/4's classes have 8-12 students. 4/5's classes have 8-12 students.
The student:teacher ratios are comfortably low. 2/3 year classes have a maximum of 3 children per adult. 3/4 year classes have a maximum of 4 children per adult and 4/5 year classes have a maximum of 5 children per adult. These are the maximums, however, the true ratios are usually even lower.
